On Sunday 4th of September Shift organized a brunch in a park in Leiden. It was the day before the new year would start and was a nice opportunity for the new first year students to meet the ‘old’ students. The weather stayed pretty nice with the occasional light rain, but this didn’t destroy the brunch! We just build an improvised shelter to tackle the problem. After the brunch we decided to play some Frisbee (where we weren’t allowed to tackle though). It was quite intense; everybody fired up and ready for the battle. Unfortunately after 15 minutes or so the Frisbee flew away into the canal. A rescue situation was set up but unfortunately it still drowned.. All in All it was still a nice afternoon and we as Shift are happy with the nice group of about 20 new students that will start the program! Welcome!
